Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.

I am Kelvin Acheampong, a product designer and full-stack engineer with a lifelong fascination for how technology works. From an early curiosity about computers and systems, I grew into UX and product design to understand not just how things look, but why they work the way they do.

My background in computer science allows me to see beneath the interface, into the logic, constraints, and trade-offs that shape real products. It gives me a systems-level perspective that strengthens my approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

I don't see design and engineering as separate disciplines. To me, they're two sides of the same obsession. Great interfaces come from great systems, and great systems are shaped by thoughtful design. I aspire to embody the idea that design is how it works, crafting products that feel intuitive on the surface, solid in execution, and deeply satisfying to use for the same reason a well-written piece of code feels elegant: everything is there for a reason.
